The Mercedes-Benz New Zealand dealer network celebrated its stellar performance in 2012 recently, capping off a year that saw outstanding growth for the brand.
There were 18 awards across Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars and Daimler Trucks New Zealand and a variety of categories.
Mercedes-Benz Vans Salesman of the Year went to Prestige Commercial Vehicles' Richard Field, who is a key team member of the South Island dealer's Christchurch dealership. Trucks and Trailers' Ken Jeynes picked up the company's Vans Sales Development Award.
"It's been very satisfying to achieve number one salesman for 2012, as it's been quite hard going here in Christchurch over the past few years," Field said. "Last year, we beat our target by about 50 per cent, so it's a really great achievement for us. And given that I've been doing this job for a few years now, it's also great to be recognised within the company."
Trucks and Trailers also took out the prestigious Commercial Dealer of the Year award. Mercedes-Benz New Zealand's longest-serving dealer, the North Island-based company was hailed for is strong market growth, both in Sales and Aftersales, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
"Both Richard and Ken are long-serving salesmen with a real depth of knowledge and passion for the Mercedes-Benz brand and the products they sell," said Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles New Zealand's General Manager, Dave Ballantyne.
"It was pleasing to see that the hard work and dedication put in by our van-sales award winners paid off for them in what was a tough year for the industry, with the market down in 2012."
