When Monday morning rolls around and you’re on your way to work, a sense of excitement and anticipation for the week ahead is hopefully how you feel.

Running through your calendar, getting ready for your meetings and streamlining your agenda are all on your to-do list - and checking it off in a comfortable, functional workspace can help you get it all done.

That’s where Crestline shines. The business designs, creates and supplies furniture and accessories to make offices and workplaces that people look forward to going to every Monday morning.

Their focus is on how they make people feel, and the team works to design products that contribute to how people interact with their workplaces, and even New Zealand as a whole.

“As furniture providers, we are thinking deeply about the purpose of a place,” says Crestline’s Managing Director, Richard Renton.

“We feel that it is important that only the very best furniture is being designed and provided to businesses in New Zealand. There is so much talent in Aotearoa, we want to develop and utilise the creativity that our country has to offer.”

Crestline’s purpose is to use smart, practical and stylish design to get people excited about their work - and this attitude extends to making sure their own staff are well looked after too.

“We are one big whanau, focused on doing the right thing by each other, our clients, and our partners,” says Richard.

One way that Crestline has shown their staff that they value their skills, energy and time, is through investing in the best possible fleet of vans to help them streamline their delivery processes.

When Darrin, the Senior Installations Manager, was tasked with finding a vehicle fleet that would complement their business, Crestline took his opinion on board straight away.

“I told the Crestline Management team that the Sprinters were ideal for furniture delivery, but it was the driver safety and comfort features that out-rated every other van I trialled,” he says. As a design business, the Crestline team pays close attention to the layout and ergonomics of the van, with particular focus on the load capabilities.

According to Darrin, “The volume of product that they can transport in one load is super impressive. Because the doors open out wider than most other vans, with a forklift they can direct-load a standard sized full pallet of product using either the side or back doors.”

The generously designed load capacity of the Sprinter meant that precious time was saved on pallet repacking - but that wasn’t the only perk.

“Before we switched to the Sprinters, we used to have to lie the desktops on an angle to fit them in the vans,” says Darrin. But thanks to the cleverly designed, spacious interior, that was no longer the case.

“Just recently with skillful packing, one load consisted of 50 standard size desk tops plus all the desk legs and feet in one van.” Efficient!

The team have made a few nifty additions to the easily-customisable fleet, to keep their processes streamlined, and their products safe. “On the walls of the vans, we installed A grade interior plywood and our own customised tie-rack system which allows us to have multiple tie down points.

Every piece of furniture is securely tied in, so we have little to no damage to our furniture when it is transported in our Sprinter vans,” says Darrin.

That’s not the only personal stamp that Crestline has put on their vans. The team knows that first impressions are a key part of good design, which is why they added custom decals to the Sprinter’s exterior. “People who appreciate a good-looking work vehicle, with the green Crestline branding our vans always look smart and professional,” says Darrin.

The team talks about their fleet as though they are additional team members - just another part of the Crestline family.

“Crestline looks after us like we are family, and that is obvious even when it comes to what vehicles they provide for us,” says Darrin. “We are all supplied with a set of wheels that is best for us and the job that we do.”
