Active Lane Keeping Assist is an attentive observer: if you unintentionally leave your lane or get dangerously close to other road users, the system can bring you back into your lane with the help of steering intervention. If you still leave the lane, however, an additional warning will follow in the form of a steering wheel vibration.

This assistant can help to avoid collisions with vehicles driving in front or stationary vehicles, with oncoming traffic when making a turn and with moving pedestrians as well as cyclists. Along with distance and collision warnings, the system primarily offers situation appropriate braking assistance, including performing an emergency stop, if necessary.

The convenience of Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC in heavy flowing and stop-and-go traffic is something you won’t want to do without again in future. The system relieves the strain on you by automatically adapting your speed to that of slower-moving vehicles travelling ahead. The required specified distance can be set in several increments.

Blind Spot Assist takes a very close look for you – in particular, as soon as you activate the turn indicator. The system can give you a visual and audio warning of potential side collisions with other road users in the blind spot. After your trip, the system still remains alert and warns you if you’re about to open the door at the wrong time.

The latest generation of parking systems assist when driving into and reversing out of parking spaces. Starting with an overview of all detected parking spaces in the vicinity, through the 360° all-round view to the selection of various parking options. When reversing out of a parking space, the system can also warn of approaching cross traffic.

With the memory function you can store and conveniently select up to 3 different seat positions. You can then easily readjust the seat electrically to just the right position. If you have created a user profile, you must activate it in the central media display to access your personal settings.

HANDS-FREE ACCESS lets you open the boot lid when you make a kicking motion beneath the bumper. This is particularly useful when you come back from shopping loaded up with heavy bags.

THERMOTRONIC controls the individual temperatures in two zones. You and your front passenger can set your preferred climate independently of one another. And you never have to readjust. This is because the sensitive sensors even register changes in conditions, such as sunlight.

The Seat Comfort Package, with its many adjustment options, lets you find your ideal seat position. Drivers can all find their own personal and ergonomic setting. Out of special respect for tall drivers: the extendible seat cushion. It extends the supporting surface for the thighs by up to 6 centimetres.

The side impact airbags in the rear can protect the chest area of passengers on the outer rear seats in the event of a severe side impact. To do this, change the damper hardness setting from "Comfort" to "Sport". The lower suspension level and Sport Direct-Steer system also support a more dynamic driving style.

At the touch of a button, DYNAMIC SELECT offers different drive programs that determine, for example, the settings for the engine, transmission, suspension and steering. With the "Sport" mode, you drive in an emphatically dynamic way, while by contrast, with the basic "Comfort" mode, the characteristics are very balanced. "Eco" focuses on efficiency, saving fuel and money.
