3. Mercedes-Benz Service Select can be used by private and commercial customers.
4. Customer participation in Mercedes-Benz Service Select is possible only at participating authorised Mercedes-Benz Service Retailers (Participating Retailers) of Mercedes-Benz New Zealand Ltd (MBNZ) and only for the customer’s registered vehicle(s) of the eligible model series. The customer must present their digital customer card (digital or printed copy). The list of Participating Retailers may change from time to time so please check your retailer’s participation status prior to scheduling your service.
5. Participating Retailers will offer:
a. Minor A Service and Major B Service as listed in the service sheet, using StarParts and /or genuine parts and excluding additional work, at or below the National recommended price listed in the table above.
b. Certain repair work (for example, front and rear brake pads and brake discs, starter batteries, disposal of old parts, and exchange of front and rear wiper blades) are not covered within Minor A or Major B services.
c. You can confirm other eligible maintenance work with your Participating Retailer:
- With a 20% discount on labour against the Participating Retailer’s standard labour rate that would otherwise apply: and
- The option to use StarParts where the relevant part is available at a national level.
6. Combing the offer outlined above with other discounts and/or services of MBNZ, e.g. fixed prices, is generally not possible.
7. The issuance of a Repair Order is subject to the general Terms of repair of the Participating Retailer in their respectively valid version.
8. All services which are not included in the Mercedes-Benz Service Select Program are not eligible for the maximum price or price discount defined above. These include, among other things, aggregate assemblies, accident and physical damage, wheels and tyres, accessories and collection articles, as well as third-party services, vehicle care, vehicle registration, HU/AU and servicing work. Also excluded are purchases of Mercedes-Benz Genuine parts, Mercedes-Benz Star Parts and/or fluids without the performance of the service work defined above.
Right of Amendment and Termination
9. MBNZ is entitled to amend or terminate Mercedes-Benz Service Select and these Terms of Participation at any time, including amending the offer, the list of eligible Model Series or any other term. In the event of amendments or termination MBNZ will notify the customer via email, at least one month before the planned amendment comes into effect. In case of an amendment, if the customer does not cancel their Mercedes-Benz Select Service participation via the Mercedes-Benz Portal within one month after the date of the amendment notice, the amendment will enter into effect for the customer. No such amendment will require the customer to pay any amount unless they actively agree to. The customer can cancel their Mercedes-Benz Service Select registration via the Mercedes-Benz Portal at any time if they no longer wish to participate.
Information and Status regarding Participation in the Program
10. Information on the program, customer and vehicle data as well a further information can be viewed, changed and deleted (as applicable) at any time in your personal Mercedes-Benz Portal account.
11. If you no longer wish to participate in Mercedes-Benz Service Select, please cancel your registration in the Mercedes-Benz Portal.
Privacy
12. MBNZ is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 2020 and other relevant laws in relation to the management of personal information. By registering for Mercedes-Benz Service Select and agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge and agree that your personal information is being collected by MBNZ for the primary purpose of providing you with the Mercedes-Benz Service Select program and performing its obligations under these terms. For processing your maintenance, the necessary data, including your contact details will be transmitted to the Participating Retailer which you have selected. You also consent to MBNZ using your personal information for certain ancillary matters, the details of which are set out in its Privacy Policy (located at www.mercedes-benz.co.nz) MBNZ will disclose such personal information with related companies to the Mercedes-Benz Group, MBNZ’s authorised dealer (retailer) network and/or third party service providers, some of which may be based overseas including but not limited to Germany, Singapore, Australia and USA. MBNZ will otherwise collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy (located at www.mercedes-benz.co.nz) which contains information about how you can access the personal information that MBNZ hold about you, how you can seek to correct it and how the complain about a suspected breach of your privacy or about how we have handled your personal information. The separate privacy policy you agreed to when creating your Mercedes me ID, also applies as relevant.
